Brief introduction of School of Educational Sciences

School of Educational Sciences (Teacher Education School) is a school characterized by teacher education. At present, there are 72 teaching staff and 54 full-time teachers, including 25 professors and associate professors. More than 30 teachers have visited famous universities in the United States, Britain, Canada, Japan, Australia, Germany, etc.

The school has formed research advantages in the fields of teacher education and teachers' professional development, moral education principles and students' moral development, classroom learning community, Chinese curriculum and teaching theory. It has made great progress in national folk music and won the honorary titles of advanced collective of teaching and research in Jiangsu Province and advanced grass-roots party organization in Jiangsu Province. The school is also the teacher training base of Jiangsu Province and the teacher training center of Xuzhou City, which has made outstanding contributions to the basic education and preschool education of Xuzhou City.

The school has three undergraduate majors: Primary Education (normal), preschool education (normal) and musicology. Adhering to the school running concept of elegance, love, erudition and mobility, and focusing on the cultivation of students' theoretical knowledge, practical ability and innovative thinking, there are more than 20 professional laboratories and nearly 30 teaching practice bases, and the quality of personnel training has been continuously improved. In the past three years, our students have won more than 80 national and provincial competition awards, more than 30 honorary titles at or above the municipal level, presided over nearly 20 national and provincial innovation and entrepreneurship projects, published more than 40 papers in academic journals at or above the provincial level, and the employment rate of students has reached 100%. Many graduates have become the backbone of their units, and have won nearly 100 awards such as provincial and municipal excellent teaching and research papers, teaching competitions, music professional competitions, etc., which have been highly praised by employers and won a good social reputation.

教育科学学院（教师教育学院）是一个以教师教育为特色的学院。现有教职工72人，专任教师54人，其中教授、副教授25人，30余位教师先后到美国、英国、加拿大、日本、澳大利亚、德国等地的知名大学访问研修。

学院在教师教育与教师专业发展、德育原理和学生品德发展、课堂学习共同体以及语文课程与教学论等领域形成了研究优势，在民族民间音乐上取得了较大的进展，获得江苏省教科研先进集体、江苏省先进基层党组织等荣誉称号。学院也是江苏省师训干训基地和徐州市师训干训中心，为徐州市基础教育和学前教育做出了突出的贡献。

学院现有小学教育(师范)、学前教育(师范)、音乐学3个本科专业。秉持“雅•爱•博•行”的办学理念，注重对学生理论知识、实践能力及创新思维的培养，现有专业实验室20多个，教学实践基地近30个，人才培养质量不断提升。近三年，学生获得国家级、省级各类竞赛奖80余项，获得市级及以上荣誉称号30余项，主持国家级、省级创新创业项目近20项，在省级及以上学术期刊发表论文40余篇，学生就业率达到100%。许多毕业生成为所在单位的骨干，获得省市级优秀教研论文、教学竞赛、音乐专业比赛等奖项近百项，受到用人单位的好评，获得了良好的社会声誉。
